I know you’ve probably seen/tasted a million different pumpkin bread recipes in your life, but please just trust me on this one. This one is THE ABSOLUTE BEST.

The two things that make this pumpkin bread so incredible is how moist it stays and the cream cheese mixture that you sandwich in between two spicy, delicious slices of pumpkin-flavored Heaven.

You’re going to want to put that stuff on EVERYTHING. But the best is slathering it on a couple delicious slices of this pumpkin-y goodness and making a sandwich out of it!

Another beautiful thing is how EASY this recipe is. Grab your stand mixer, mix up your dry ingredients, add the wet ingredients, mix, bake, and voila! You have incredibly moist, decadent pumpkin bread ready to cover with THE BEST cream cheese spread!

If you’re feeling lazy, as I definitely have a few times, you can also make this as a Bundt cake and pipe the cream cheese mixture on top as icing like they do for Nothing Bundt Cakes. It looks impressive, but it’s oh so easy to do!

This pumpkin bread also makes amazing Christmas gifts for a lot of people if you bake a few batches into small loaves. It saves really well and always makes people so happy to get handed a small, wrapped loaf of pumpkin bread and container of cream cheese spread!

This recipe came from my Mimi who is an incredible cook and has been making this pumpkin bread my entire life. It has been one of my favorite desserts/guilty breakfasts for as long as I can remember.

I can probably put down at least 10 of these sandwiches in one sitting and do it effortlessly. They are so addicting and I dare you to try them and see why!

How To Make The Absolute BEST Pumpkin Bread:

1.Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. Combine dry ingredients in a stand mixer.

3. Add the remaining wet ingredients. Mix well.

4. Pour batter into 2 (9x5x3 inch) greased and floured bread pans.

5. Bake 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.

6. Once slightly cooled, wrap each loaf in saran wrap to allow the crust to soften.

How To Make The BEST Cream Cheese Spread:

1.Cream the cream cheese in the stand mixer until smooth.

2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.

3. Slice pumpkin bread and make sandwiches by putting the cream cheese spread in the middle.

4. Now go eat your weight in pumpkin bread!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 ½ cups flour
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 (15 oz) cans pumpkin
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ cup plus 1 tbsp water

Cream Cheese Spread

  • 2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp butter (softened)

    This is my favorite pumpkin bread out there! The cream cheese spread is the best addition to an already amazing pumpkin bread recipe. I could eat that stuff with a spoon! I would make myself a pumpkin bread sandwich with the spread and then spread EXTRA on top as I was eating it. It was THAT good!
