Brussels sprouts. You either love them or you hate them.
I personally didn’t really give them a chance until I was well into my 20’s. But man, was I missing out!
I’ve found that when you sauté or roast something well enough and add bacon to it, anything can taste like something straight from heaven’s table.
I got this recipe from my awesome brother-in-law and man, does that dude know how to cook. You’ll see why once you cook these things!
I used to think that roasting brussels sprouts in the oven were the only way to make them taste good, but he proved me wrong!
The trick to making this taste so good is to sauté the brussels sprouts in the bacon grease leftover from cooking the bacon. WOW. It makes all the difference!
Put this on the side of some steak or grilled chicken and you have a (mostly) healthy, delicious meal ready to make your soul happy!
How To Make Sautéed Bacon Brussels Sprouts:
1.Cook bacon on medium-high heat in a skillet (preferably a cast iron skillet).

2. Transfer cooked bacon to a paper towel lined plate. Leave bacon grease in skillet.

3. Cut stems off of the brussels sprouts and cut in half.

These are the knives I use and swear by. They are such a great deal and really good quality!

4. Dice onion.

5. Add sprouts and onion to the skillet. Stir to get everything coated in the bacon grease.

6. Cook for 10-15 minutes on medium-high heat. Stir every few minutes until sprouts are tender, browned, and slightly crispy.

7. Tear bacon up into small pieces and add to skillet.

8. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir.

9. Serve fresh and enjoy!
